Traveled to Portland, where Sean fell in love with the city as much as I did. And we ate our weight in donuts.
Sean’s birthday- big 2-7 for my handsome husband!
Girls trip to Philadelphia to visit my former roommate Emily who is in grad school there. #partylikeits1776
Cooking class- all mushrooms. Yum.
Made our own wine! And made an Animoto video highlighting it. Animoto is one of my clients, check it out.
Hosted a Halloween party and forgot to take pictures of people!
Cut 10 inches off my hair!
Attended the Oregon vs. Stanford game with my dad
Like everyone else, I love Fall and am so excited it’s October. Top things I’m looking forward to this month…
1) Portland trip: Sean and I are going to Portland for the weekend to eat, drink and sightsee. I fell in love with Portland in May when my dad and I went for a couple of days. It’s like a small, more affordable San Francisco with more rain. We are going to do a food truck bike tour on Saturday that stops at Voodoo doughnuts, can’t wait!
2) Terranium Class: I’m taking a class with a friend to learn how to make terraniums! I’m not sure what to expect but it will be a good chance to get some green into our apartment. Workshop SF has some really cool DIY classes that aren’t too expensive for any locals.
3) Philadelphia trip: My friend Emily just started grad school in Philly so a bunch of us are going to visit her. It will be fun to have a little San Francisco friends reunion.
4) Book Club: In an attempt to read more, I am joining a book club! The first meeting we’re just getting together to drink wine and pick out the book. I already know I’m going to like it.
New husband, new job, new blog! Hopefully I can find time to blog between work, writing thank you notes (why don’t they write themselves?) and attempting to organize our apartment. I’m hoping it will be a nice creative outlet for me since I love writing. And let’s be honest, I really want to recap the wedding and wedding planning process so I remember every little detail.
This is my third week at the new job (although last week barely counts because of the Fourth) I’m trying to keep calm and remember that it is possible to work full-time, eat healthy, work out, enjoy time with my new husband and have a social life. I’m hoping the wedding high keeps me going for quite a bit longer, there really is nothing like it.
